A message from our Mayor about the benefits of shopping local
Locally owned, independent shops, restaurants and services are the heart and soul of the Tinley Park community and we are proud to have so many wonderful businesses in town. Local business owners do so much from contributing to numerous charities, donating their time and merchandise to spending countless hours planning the events that make Downtown Tinley Park a vibrant, fun and festive place to visit. I am asking that when you are deciding to go out for a meal, make a purchase or visit a salon or doctor, think about choosing a local Tinley Park business before leaving our community or going on the internet. When you shop and dine locally more of those dollars stay right here in town funding Tinley Park and keeping it strong and vibrant. Staying local saves time, keeps your gasoline bill lower and really is the right thing to do.
Everyone has a favorite place to go get a great meal, enjoy a treat or just have fun. Take a moment to go online and write a review about your favorite spot. Let everyone know where you love to go for lunch, which salon you visit to get your hair done or that special place to go on date night. Posting reviews on Google or Yelp will support local businesses and provide helpful tips for your neighbors and visitors when they can't decide where to go. So the next time you are deciding where to go and what to do – think local and shop Tinley Park!
Sincerely,
Mayor Zabrocki
