BENCHES ON THE AVENUE
When: May 9th to October 1, 2013
Where: Along Oak Park Avenue in Downtown Tinley from 172nd to 176th
Admire the Benches on the Avenue themed "Fairy Tale Festival". Vibrant, colorful, 3-D designs will be created by talented artists based on classic stories of magical and imaginary beings and lands where characters and objects are transformed before our very eyes. This public art program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, annually drawing thousands of residents and visitors to Downtown Tinley Park. DOWNTOWN TINLEY FARMERS' MARKET
When: Every Saturday June 1 through October 12, 7:00 am – Noon, When: Every Tuesday June through August, 5:00 - 9:00 pm
Where: Zabrocki Plaza near the Metra Train Station in Downtown Tinley at 174th and Oak Park Avenue
Visit the Farmers' Market every week for the best selection of fruits, vegetables and fresh flowers.
DOWNTOWN TINLEY CRUISE NIGHTS
When: Every Tuesday June through August, 5:00 - 9:00 pm
Where: Along Oak Park Avenue near 171st St. and the Metra station
Enjoy this Classic Car Show with no entry fee - first come, first served. Food and beverages are available for sale. Music provided by a DJ Co-Sponsored by the VFW Post 2791 and Village of Tinley Park MainStreet Commission.
MUSIC IN THE PLAZA
When: Saturday Evenings 7:00 - 10:00 pm June through September 2013
Where: Zabrocki Plaza near the Metra Train Station in Downtown Tinley at 174th and Oak Park Avenue
Enjoy a wonderful evening listening to music under the stars. Beverages are provided by the VFW including beer. Food is available for purchase or dine at a local restaurant before or after the show.

15th ANNUAL CARIBBEAN BEACH BLOCK PARTY

Dress up the kids and head out to the Downtown Tinley Halloween Boo Bash and Kiddie Parade! Enjoy the costume parade, trick or treating compliments of local businesses, games, prizes, snacks, food and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for costumes in "best of" categories. Parents, grandparents, children, pets and friends are all welcome.

MAYOR’S TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
When: Friday November 30 2012 at 6:00 pm.
Where: Zabrocki Plaza in Downtown Tinley at 6700 South St. & Oak Park Ave.
Village officials will light the magnificent 35-foot holiday tree. Arrive at 5:30 pm to enjoy holiday music.
TINLEY'S TOYLAND PARADE
When: Saturday December 1, 2012 at 11:30 am.
Where: 175th Street to Zabrocki Plaza.
Tinley's Toyland Parade celebrates the official arrival of Santa and Mrs Claus who will head over to the Oak Park Avenue train station immediately following the parade.
PARADE OF LIGHTS
When: Sunday, December 2, Step‐off at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Viewing Area 177th Street along Oak Park Avenue.
The Parade of Lights includes festive floats, vehicles, local businesses, community groups and school bands displaying the spirit of the season. Our guests from the North Pole will be making a special appearance.

Miss Illinois USA to serve as Irish Parade Grand Marshal!
Enjoy this family-friendly event along Oak Park Avenue in Downtown Tinley Park. Come out and see floats, community groups, local schools and businesses. Enjoy delicious Irish fare and fun at the many Downtown Tinley restaurants.

DOWNTOWN TINLEY BUNNY HOP
When: March 24 2013, NOON - 3 PM
Where: South St. & 67th Court, just south of the Downtown Tinley Train Station
Bring the whole family to this exciting new event. Wear an Easter bonnet or hat and win a prize! Enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny, the Bunny Hop, Crafts, Cookies, Games and more. There will also be DJ Entertainment, $1 cookie decorating and food. Visit the vintage dress & bonnet display at the Historical Society. Don’t forget your camera! This event will be held rain or shine. An Easter Egg Hunt will take place (weather permitting) at 12:30 p.m. for Ages 3 and under and Ages 4 & 5, then at 1:00 p.m. for Ages 6 – 9.
